We don't know how long we have on this earth. Therefore, we MUST look at our loved ones and let them know that we do care about and love them. Especially if we don't live near some of them.
It's okay to move to pursue dreams and explore the world but try not to lose contact with those you love, whether it be family, friends, old co-workers, old church goers, whomever! Call one a week, visit one or twice a year (budget especially for this), and text regularly!
Yes, technology has had a lot of negative impacts on our society, but it has made it a lot easier to stay in contact with people. So take advantage of that! Your community is your base. So don't lose it. It's easier to do than one would think.
