I find it interesting to think about this. What is most important to you? What do you put most of your time and money into? Shoes? TV? Social Media? Clothes? Experiences?
God? The Universe? The people in your life?
How you look? Now, none of these things are wrong. In fact, a lot of them are really good things to have be important to you. But when one really thinks about what they spend most of their money and time on it can be startling.
I was pretty surprised when I thought about this. Is this really important to me? Sometimes what we spend the most time and money on are things that really aren't that important but have become habit. Like scrolling through social media for hours on end or going shopping yet again because you feel sad.
This journey thus far has really gotten me thinking about this. Like, is it silly to think that shoes are important to me? Cause I spend a lot of money on them. Maybe. Maybe not.
I think it's important to note that it's okay to have inanimate objects be important to you. It's just when they rule your life or become all you can think of, even for just a short time, is when the problem arises. Such as those jeans being on sale and it's all you can think about until they are in your closet.
So I challenge you to think about what is really important to you.
